The Center for Social Care Rijeka, Family Center Branch, within the scope of its activities, performs advisory and preventive work and other professional tasks related to:

- counseling service related to marriage, parenthood, family and partner relationships,
- development of socialization skills of children and young people, especially communication skills and non-violent conflict resolution between children and young people,
- development of communication and tolerance in youth and partner relationships
- organization and implementation of education of adoptive parents,
- family mediation
- encouragement and development of community work programs, volunteer work and the work of associations that support parents, families, children, youth and other socially sensitive groups of

Adults, children and young people can participate in counseling, each according to their needs. An individual, a family, a parent with a child or a couple may be involved, depending on what is judged to be most helpful (or depending on what is possible).
